Import not working 5.3.2

I have tried to get importing working on two separate installations on two separate servers with no luck.

I have defined a number of custom fields and any time I try an import, the standard data fields (first name, surname, email address etc.) are OK...

1) Installation A fills the custom fields correctly (if you look at the data table with phpmyadmin) but the data is not/partially displayed when you look at the records in recipient overview - quite often some of the fields show data from a previously deleted, manually entered record.

2) Installation B: all custom fields show NULL.

If I manually enter a record, all data is stored properly.

If I look at the sample import rows shown during the import wizard, it looks like all data is in the right fields.

I have tried with both my standard data set of approx 13000 records and also a cut down one with only 6.

I would really appreciate some help with this - we are now considering other apps as we cannot make this work.

Here's two lines of import data. In this data, the clients have no email addresses so they have been set to 1@1 for later screening - we hope to use the OpenEMM database for other purposes, hence the amount of data we are trying to store. Each record has a 'uniqueID' which we use for de-duping. Will there be any issues with the fact that the email addresses are not unique because we need to have duplicates for when clients have more than one pet (the data is for vaccination and appointment reminders)

What date format did you use in the import wizard - dd.MM.yyyy?

To tidy up this thread - importing now works properly in 5.4 (rc1).

Additionally, 5.4 GA (supposed to be released next week) will also accept a date format including the time (HH:MM:SS).
