XAMPP OpenEMM 2011 & Windows Service

Post by gerb »

Hi all,
I upgraded my system to OpenEMM 2011. First I tried to use the Tomcat provided by XAMPP, but it seems that the second command line window does not open! Then I tried using the 6.x tomcat from the Apache Foundation. This worked like a charm. So my questions are now:

Why can't I use the XAMPP Tomcat? Or what do I need to do, to use it?

How am I supposed to run this as a windows service? I can't stay logged in all the time.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Mine apache Tomcat runs as a service, using this download:
http://www.bitlib.net/mirror/apache.org ... 6.0.33.exe

The other tomcat v6 is not the service ;)

i'm having issues running v2011 in Windows server 2008 64bit, can I ask what Windows o/s are you using and is it 32/64bit? My issue relates to previewing a mailing, can you preview ok?

Hi,
I'm running Windows 2003 Server 32Bit and I can preview my mailings. I would really appreciate if I could start OpenEMM with the help of my XAMPP Tomcat. :(

Cheers,
Daniel
