Final release of OpenEMM 2013 available

Since the web container used by OpenEMM 2013 and its predecessor 2011 was changed from Resin to Tomcat, it is NOT possible to use the online update feature of OpenEMM to update from version 6.2 (or an older version) to 2013. However, after you have installed OpenEMM 2013, the online update will work again and you will be able to update to future versions.

If you update an existing OpenEMM installation please read file UPDATE.txt in directory /home/openemm after the update to finish the update process successfully - even if no warning and no error messages have been reported.

The "OpenEMM Installation and Administration Guide" has been completely revised and contains all information on how to manually upgrade from 6.2 (or an older version) to 2013 and lots of valuable tips for the configuration and administration of OpenEMM. You will find the latest OpenEMM guide here:

If you find a bug in OpenEMM 2013 please let us know and comment this entry. We will work hard to fix any (reproducable) bug you report and provide a bugfix as soon as possible!

Any estimate on when the Windows version will be available?

Hi all,
I am not sure if this is a bug or not but after I upgraded to OpenEMM 2013, the Distribution status of the mailing list always shows "This mailing is being sent at the moment." and "Emails sent" is still 0 after 24hrs.
The MTA looks fine because I can send test email without any problem.

What was the circulation of your mailing? (We tested only with small mailings.)

The size was 348 emails. I try to create a mailing list with only 1 recipient and the result is just the same. Test email was sent successfully.

Our test went up to 2,000 recipients, so it does not seem to be a general error.

Does your statistics tab show the correct number of recipients?

Yes. Statics tab shows Recipients:348 in "Delivery statistics".

Ok, statistics is correct and box "Last Delivery" is correct too, but box "Delivery" is wrong. Are lines "Started" and "Ended" really missing from box "Delivery"? Did you send an admin or test mail after the "real" (world) mailing?

Yes, the "Started" and "Ended" box is missing. But it may not be the problem cause by OpenEMM 2013 since my administrator just told me that he upgraded the System to ubuntu 12.04 LTS after upgraded to OpenEMM 2013. I will try to loop back to the status right after upgraded to OpenEMM 2013 and try again.

Solved! I roll back to OpeEMM 2013 before upgrading OS and it worked. Thanks!
