Scripting?

I've had a difficult time finding documentation for OpenEMM, so I thought I'd toss my question in here. I have a long list of recipients that to receive a marketing email, and my employer wishes to divide the recipients relatively evenly across the days of an average month. From what I can gleam, OpenEMM is supposed to be scriptable in some manner, but have been unable to find info on how to go about the scripting. Theoretically, I need something that would depending on the date send off an email to a set of 50 recipients, the next set on the next day, and so on. Any tips/guides on how to do this? Thanks.
