Hello,

I wondered wether a demo version is somewhere available, which would help me a lot.

Regards,

This is a great idea. I have currently no free server with sendmail available and have got no time to set up one.

I'd really appreciate to test it online somewhere.

Greetings,
carlos

Hello,

good idea! We will check what we can do regarding a demo server.

Ok, here is what we will do:

After releasing OpenEMM 5.0.1 (coming soon) we will offering a VMX Image for testing purposes. You just have to copy this file on your machine since the VMX Image runs on top of a VMware player which supports your operating system (as long as it is Linux or Windows).

If you want to prepare your computer: The free VMware players are available for download at http://www.vmware.com/products/player

Have fun!

When you say a VMX will be available for download soon, any idea how soon soon is? And where would someone go to get this download?

Soon in this case means this week. :-)

If you subscribe to the OpenEMM newsletter you will be notified automatically when and where this version will be posted.

You probably have noticed that the VMware version of OpenEMM is not yet available. The reason: To build it is a lot of work and since release 5.0.2 is coming soon (probably next week) we want to wait for it.

VMware has two advantages:

1. For Linux users: runs "out of the box", no installation necessary
2. For Windows users: dito (yes, with VMware Player you can use OpenEMM on a Windows machine!)
