Hit the cancel button on the send mailing tab and confirm with the stop button.

sorry, i cannot see a cancel button ;-((
i know this screenshot is after sending the list,
but for me the screen looks the same, when sending
is scheduled for the future.... if i am wrong, please let
me know where i should see this "cancel"....

As long as the mailing has not been sent you will see a text "Cancel generation" and a button "cancel" below the line "total emails". If this button is no longer visible, the generation of the mailing has started (3 hours before send time, see class SendMailAction) and you can not stop it any longer via the frontend.

okay.. my mailing i was testing has been 30minutes in the future..
so i can only stop mailings that are >=3 hours in the future ??
