html newsletter link problems

Hi Guys

I noticed OpenEMM's dynamic querystring is: like /r?uid=1.3.7.z.u44np2208h

When to my coding knowledge this would give a page error, which is exactly what it does in my current installation. if the directory 'r' does not exist.

I imagine it should be something like: ?uid=1.3.7.z.u44np2208h.

So I have not found a solution to this yet.

I inserted my links in the OpenEMM like:
http://www.yoursite.com/pagename.html

but instead they come in to my outlook as HTML as:
outbind://0052CC380DB3D993449F2A937F901C8E3C000000205BD2000052CC380DB3D993449F2A937F901C8E3C0000002062D90000/www.yoursite.com/r?uid=1.3.7.7.p4htcz6tnc
which obviously opens a page not found.

Also sending newsletters takes like 20mins to half hour to send, is there a way to make this quicker for test developments?

Am using Microsoft Outlook and OpenEMM version 5.0.2

Any ideas on how to resolve this HTML newsletter problems. First time
am using this app and did not imagine I would spend a whole day trying to get this sorted.

Kind regards

It sounds like you didn't correctly edit the SQL to change the default http://rdir.de link.

OpenEMM does have scripts with one letter names, that is a correct link, you're just probably at the wrong port. Try the same link and change it to:
www.domainname.com:8080/r?uid=1.3.7.z.u44np2208h

HTML / Address Links

Sorry Jim,

But we're still getting garbage on our linked addresses?

Everything else seems to run fine, but when we set an address for a linked text file or gif/bmp image, it takes us to some strange netherworld. Otherwise the program has been a charm.

Any help would be much appreciated.
