importing information

Post by melrina »

I've just started using OpenEMM so I'm learning. I'm trying to import my csv file and I keep getting the error, "No Key found for mapping E-mail address". To the best of my knowledge I've aligned the csv with OpenEMM. Do you all have any suggestions for trouble-shooting? I've read the manual several times and I can't figure out what is incorrect. Thanks

You have to go to tab "column mapping" and map the name of the email column of your CSV import file to the email field in OpenEMM so that OpenEMM knows where it can find the email addresses in your file and where to put them in the OpenEMM database.

Thanks for your help. I actually was doing the key correctly, but I was using the wrong seperator. So now that I have the comma instead of the semicolon, my importing is working.

When we import csv file should take care some points.
1. import->Current recipients file
2. Select import profile (this profile should be similer in above tag 'Profile Adminstration')
3. tag key should be similar to your csv file (you can manage that from 'Manage Columns) and this should be equal to showing value eg. name, select name from popup.
4. Than proceed

Hi guys,

Some times you face this problem.
"! No key found for mapping Email.
Key column should be imported."

Actually this problem is related to sepaters related
1. First convert your file into .xls
2. Than again convert it to .csv (choose Field delimiter ; and Text delimiter " character set Unicode (UTF-8)) and save as.
3. Delete all columns in Mangage.
4. Than import your csv file and go into Manage column ->save
5.Set your profile at Profle Administration than import it.

:)
Warm Regards
