Images pulling for css style sheet not showing up

Hi,
We have an email we are trying to send. The html email looks great on the dev server. If I cut and copy the html into a new document and view it locally through Firefox it looks great. Renders properly when I preview the html in Open EMM. However when we actually test send the email none of the images show up. The designer we used this time is referencing all images via a css file which is new to us. The css file path is correct.
Never run into this before. Anyone have any ideas?
