Last 1000 emails not being sent

Is there a way of extracting a list of email addresses a mailing was definitely sent to?
Reason I ask is that out of a mailing of 44704, the send mail tab shows 43704 were delivered.
I'm unsure of how to find that missing 1000 or how to explain it.

Customer has sent another mailing and this time exactly 2000 emails were not sent.
