Hello,

this post is a follow up to the previously solved problem concerning time-outs when inserting raw hyperlinks into text-modules, see: http://www.openemm.org/forums/ftopic407.html.

Now that I am able to insert links into text-modules one problem still occurs. Every second time saving a text-module or the whole mailing, the previously inserted link is not listet in the trackable links section anymore. Further the link will not be rewritten into a trackable link by OpenEMM. It seems like OpenEMM is losing information about the link everytime the link is saved and thereby loaded (see: MailingComponentImpl ).

I also looked at the logfiles but can't see any exceptions or suspicious lines. I am able to reproduce this behaviour by simply creating a new mailing without any template and fill the text-module with a simple link, e. g. http://www.example.org.

I try to explain it a little more detailed:
1) I save the text-module containing the link.
2) Now I can see the link in the trackable links section and give it a description and assign an action.
3) I go to the text-module containing the link and save this or any other text-module again.
4) Now the link has vanished from the trackable links section.
5) I go back to the text-module or the mailing configuration page (section mailing) and save the text-module or the whole mailing.
6) Back in the trackable links section the link is there again, but the additional information like description or assigned action is gone.

I hope someone can help me out and give me advice on this issue.

I see OpenEMM having a problem handling SIMPLE links of the type you describe:
http://www.example.org

My workaround for the HTML portion involved ALWAYS making sure that the url ended with a page reference or a slash:
http://www.example.org/index.html
or
http://www.example.org/

Hope it helps. If not, there's always 5.1.1....

thanks for your reply. I already read your topic before and also followed your advice given below. Unfortunately neither a trailing slash nor any specified page reference solved the current issue.

Maybe there's a very simple reason or even better - a solution for this. I don't know, but it would be great to know if someone is able to reproduce the above described behaviour.
