Hello everybody,
I am really stuck trying to get familiar with the OpenEMM Content Manager.
I created a CM template with some AGNITAS-Tags like in the Demo: [agnDyn name="cm1" /] etc.
I managed to built several Module types and added a whole bunch of Contend modules. Everything went quite well and turned out the way I wanted.
So now I start a new Mailing, attach the CM-Template to the mailing which still works fine and now I start adding the Contend Modules which produces a Newsletter mess:
The Contend Modules are eather not all shown, some are placed above my CM-Template Markup and are stuck there (one can't use the arrows to move them up or down). Sometimes just one COntent module is shown but in the Newsletter-Preview all placed Content modules are shown.
I am really lost and don't know how to format the CM-Template right so the Contend modules are placed correctly. Has the name-Attribute of the agnDyn Tag to correspond with one of the Content-Modules name? Do I have to prepare further things?!
Or is the COntent Manager plain buggy?!
Help is greatly appreciated!
Chris

Re: Content Manager: Combining Content modules with CM templ
Please tell us the version of OpenEMM you use and the exact way how to generate the unwanted behaviour so that we can reproduce it.

Re: Content Manager: Combining Content modules with CM templ
Hi there and a happy new year everyone,
to answer your question I cannot more precise as to tell you that we use OpenEMM 2011 ... is there a possibility to find out a Version Number?!
Then I would add that information later.
Well and how I created the unwanted behaviour is described in my first post:
1. Content Manager
2. I built a CM template with some markup and added some AGNITAS-Tags [agnDyn name="cm1" /] [agnDyn name="cm2" /] etc.
3. I built some Module Types. Again with basic html-Markup, Textfields, Imagefields etc.
4. On the basis of those Mudule Types I created Content Mudules
Second step was to start a new mailing and attach the CM template and the Content Modules to the mailing. Again it all went well and worked out fine.
The problem is placing the Content: The Content Modules are not placed accordingly to the AGNITAS-Tags I added. One Module is always in the head of the Template
with no option at all to move it somewhere else or to remove it. Some others are visible but vanish if they are moved and similar odd
behaviour occurs.
Does that help as a description?

P. S. I made a Screenshot with descriptions to it. Do I have an option to attach it somehow to the post?

I am sorry, but we could not reproduce the behaviour you described. Have you tried the CMS demo database? Do you have problems creating mailings based on the provided template and CMs as well?

Re: Content Manager: Combining Content modules with CM templ
Hi Chris,
I had a similar problem.
In the content view of the mailing the arrows didn't work on some content modules and other modules
weren't displayed.
In my case the problem was the html structure of the cm-template and module types.
The module types were defined as table rows which I wanted to insert in the table in the cm-template.
After changing the module types to tables which are inserted in a table cell in the cm-template everything worked.
Hope this helps.
