Images are not displayed in IPhone

Post by jayamca »

Dear All,

We have installed OpenEMM and it is running correctly. We have send many openemm emails of various email types. While viewing these emails through Apple IPhone, the images are not appearing correctly. Simply the following error message ("This image has been removed for security reasons.") has been displayed in the image place holder.

Is any one aware of this security error message, if so what could be the solution for this issue.

Regards
Jai

That's an image blocker in the email client of iPhone. Unfortunately, OpenEMM can not circumvent that "feature".

I don't think it's the feature of the iphone that is causing the issue, at least for me.

I have an iphone and I have "load images" turned on. I normally see images. I am able to send emails from my OpenEMM install to gmail and my work email no problem. Links work, etc. This is when using the gmail web client or my outlook client.

The same exact emails went viewed on my iphone (viewing my gmail and work email), the images do not display AND the links don't work. Just get the broken image ?'s. The links seemed to go to the right place but I get "Access to this web page is currently unavailable" with the title of "Cannot find Server".

I do have port redirecting on (80 to 8080) but I'm sure that is working because the emails work in my gmail and outlook client.

Thank you!

One more thing. If I take the link that is in my safari browser after I click on the email within my iphone and type it into any browser on my PC, the link works. For the iPhone, it does not, get the error stated above.

Thanks

FYI - I got this to work. Had an issue with my emm.properties file and not matching up with the right URLs
