Using openEMM from another application

We have openEMM installed on our server and it is configured and working properly, Now I want to import recipients from my another application directly into openEMM database so that final email sending will be done through openEMM. For this, what exactly I need to do?? And what is the mechanism of importing recipients list directly into openEMM database without using openEMM GUI? And also I want to know the architecture of openEMM. Kindly reply if anyone knows.

You can import data directly into the database. The extension architecture documentation describes the database schema in appendix A.
