Newbie question about link url's

Hi all,

I'm trying out the 2013 version of openemm based on the downloaded vmware version.

Situation:
I already have a webserver running, let's call it : www.mywebserver.com

I have the dedicated openemm server for mailing : www.openemm.com:8080

In the database I have entered the redir domain: www.openemm:8080
When I create a mailing which contains trackable links to mywebserver.com, all these links point to an url which start with www.openemm.com:8080
When I change the database redir domain to: www.mywebserver.com, the trackable links change to the correct webserver with a nonexisting page.

Does this mean that it is not possible to create a trackable link to another webserver then the openemm server, or is there a redirect possibility that maybe you can help me with?

If you set up OpenEMM on a 2nd server which uses the same database as the first one you could use this 2nd server as dedicated redirect server.
