Is OpenEMM thread safe?

When looking through the code, there seem to be a lot of examples of singleton code using thread-specific variables.

If multiple mailings were being sent at the same time, wouldn't this break?

Well, the commercial version based on OpenEMM's code is in production since the year 2000 and is able to send out hundreds of mailings in parallel.
