Target groups
OpenEMM works really fine!!
Only the target groups do not work.
I got different target groups.
In the mailing I define the mailing list an die Target groups I'like to send to mailing to.
When I define the dynamic content (TEXT and HTML), I define one for my target group 1 an one for my target group 2.
But the mailing is not sent.
When I send the mailing to the administrator, OpenEMM calls:
"No Text-Version".
But there is a Text-Version: One for target group 1 and one for target group 2.
Do I use this feature wrong?
This would be important. E.g. for a confirmation mailing in different languages.

Sorry, the description was really bad.
I have a newsletter in two languages.
So I'd like to send the newsletter to different target groups.
It should be an action-based mailing (Opt-In confirmation).
So i created a new mailing in Text and HTML to all recipients of my maillinglist.
(For sure I know what you wrote about mime-multipart)
Let's stay at the Text-Version:
I created one Text-Version for german users (Target group DE) and one for English users (Target Group EN).
But if i like to send this mailling, I get an error message: "No Text-Version".
I would understand if the two target groups would not contain all of the recipients of my mailling list, but they do.
E.g: Total recipients: 800, DE: 600, EN: 200.

multi-language e-mailing
Here is the way I would do it (if you do not use templates):
- go to tab "content"
- open module "text"
- add first language version with target and save
- add below second language version with target and save
- add below default text (like "no language version available") with target "all subscribers" and save
The last step is necessary in case you add subscribers which are not in any of your two target groups. Does this approach work for you?

target groups not working
Please see this new message which seems to be related to your problem: http://www.openemm.org/forums/ftopic328.html
We have to look into it - might be a bug!

There are some differences between the problem you describe and my experiences with the target group / dynamic content modules of OpenEMM.
I haven't seen this error sofar. And I'm using a template.
I added the dyamic content placeholders named HTML-Topic1, TEXT-Topic1, etc. There is variant described in the openemm manual that uses start/content/end tags als placeholders for dynamic content elements.

OpenEMM composes the personalized mailing correctly in the HTML or Text Mailing Preview. I tried to compose a newsletter with different sub topics. But if i like to send this mailling, I get an error message: "No Text-Version".

Re: multi-language e-mailing
I have the same problem (text version not available, or HTML version not avaialble on test sending) and this solution make the things works.
However I do not want the people not targetted to receive the email, let say if my template is defined for English and German speaking only (two HTML and Text sections for each target groups), I do not want the Italian and French speaking to receive the email: by defining a default text/html for "All subscribers" they will receive a blank email (or whatever I defined in the text / html sections).
