Initiating a mailing via externally generated mails

Post by bb »

Hello everyone,

my company is currently evaluating various newsletter software. We're looking for a software that has what you could call an "email listener" which waits for incoming mail and passes those mails to all subscribers.
We are aware that a mailing list system like majordomo or mailman would do the trick, however we'd like something a little more configurable, up-to-standard and and easy-to-use.
OpenEMM seems pretty promising, but it would seem that it doesn't have such a functionality. Is there anything I have overlooked or haven't thought of to achieve what we're looking for with OpenEMM?
If not, do you maybe have ideas on how to write a module/extension that implement such a listener for OpenEMM?

Thanks for any help!

Best regards,
bb

This is a much needed functionality. I assume since the bounce management is functional, this should be no problem to get going. Anyone figure this out ?
