Formatting of tags / Tags in mail headers

Hi, I have a date field I am using in a mailshot, which I am inserting as:

[agnDB column="vacdate"]

Trouble is this appears in the mailing with a midnight time - eg: 2008-05-05 00:00:00.

Two things:

1) Can I format the tag within the template to make it not include the HH:MM:SS

2) Can I ask for the tag to be formatted DD-MM-YYYY
